Does home whitening remove excess bonding glue left from braces?
I had my braces removed a month ago and was sent hine with a home whitening kit and told to come back in two weeks. I did not do the whitening as there is a significant amount of bonding glue still on my teeth. The dentist told me when I went back that because I had not done the whitening he could not do anything more with me and sent me home again. He told me the whitening removes the excess bonding glue on my teeth?! I have done the whitening overnight every night for 6 hours over 2 weeks and there is no difference to my teeth. There is still chunks of bonding glue around my gumline in places and all my teeth are covered in bonding glue and are rough and dull and have not whitened at all. Can you please let me know if what the dentist has said is right? Should the whitening remove the bonding glue? In two weeks there is no difference and my teeth are too sensitive to do any more. I am back at the dentist on saturday and i am worried that he is going to send me away again to do more whitening and end up with another wasted journey.
