Answer: teeth are loose due to moving them with braces
By
When wearing full braces on top and bottom. The actual bracket(braces) are only an anchor on your teeth to hold the wire in place. The wire does all the moving of your teeth. You will sometime notice that when you go for your orthodontist appointment, they will not change the wire but sometimes put bends on the wire to move the teeth. Whenever you get an a adjustment your teeth or tooth will feel loose. It is because the gum becomes very soft so we can move the teeth in the right position. That is why it is very important for you when you are ready to get them off, it takes a good year to firm up the gums again so your teeth can be strong too. It is very important also that you wear the retainer after the treatment is done to hold all the teeth in place otherwise it will shift back to the original place. You don"t want that to happen after all that work to have a beautiful smile. It is normal to feel your teeth are loose, it means that everything is working to move the tooth or teeth. It usually happens after an adjustment or a new wire is put in.
