Will my gum go back to its original shape?
Hi I am a 20 year old who wears braces...About a month ago my dentist said that i had gingivitis growth... my gums were swollen and out of shape...now my gums between my two front teeth are very swollen and out of shape..and when i smile u can see a lump like between my teeth..Will my gums go back to its original shape or will it remain this way?

Your gums should heal once your oral hygiene is improved and your braces are removed. Concentrate on keeping the area clean and be sure to floss daily. This will ensure all plaque is removed from the area. You are experiencing gingivitis, an inflammatory response to the bacteria in plaque. You can also massage the area at least once per day with a dry, soft toothbrush, using a small circular motion. Rinse with warm salt water 2-3 times daily to soothe the tissues and you should begin to see improvement.
