Willbe able to wear my plastic retainer after 7 weeks of losing it?
I had braces when I was 11-12 and have been wearing my retainers since for about 5 years, I am now 18. For the past few years I can usually go quite a few weeks without wearing my retainers, I would wear them for a night and my teeth would shift slightly back into position, my retainers always felt like they fitted. I left my retainers at uni 4 weeks ago and I am unable to get them for another 3 weeks. I've been paranoid that my teeth are moving because my bite feels like it has changed and my teeth have been sore, however I don't know if this pain is my wisdom teeth. One of my teeth beside my top front teeth looks like it is moving behind the front teeth, but I notice this a while ago and my retainers still fitted when I was wearing it. I'm not sure if my brain is making me feel worse by persuading me my teeth are going to become really wonky. I am scared that my retainer won't fit my mouth as this is the longest time I have went without my retainers. How fast will my teeth be moving even after 5 years of wearing my retainer, and if my teeth shift slightly is it possible to correct with my retainers? Thank you for reading my question, I hope you can help.
