Crown cemented with Duralon

I recently had a crown put on my upper molar because the tooth was cracked. Trouble is the tooth hurt even worse when I bit on it with the temporary crown and I expressed concern. The dentist said he cemented the crown in permanently but used Duralon instead of a newer cement so he could still remove the crown. I'm worried because if the crown can be removed it means to me that it isn't cemented in permanently. I had a bridge cemented in temporarily one time that didn't loosen up for over 2 years and one of the anchor teeth had rotted and I had to have a post put in to re-cement the bridge. I am worried that the Duralon will leak out and/or infection will get in there and rot out this recently crowned molar. Please advise if I should have crown re-cemented or ???
